# Install Standard on Windows

> This is a step-by-step guide on how to install the Standard System on Windows using the graphical installer, including all license activation steps and what to expect during setup.

    Download the Standard System for Windows at [standardcomputers.net/downloads](https://standardcomputers.net/downloads) and double click to begin installation.

  <Step title="Launch Standard">
    Once installation is complete, launch Standard and answer (Y/n) to using the public relay. If you're using the Public Relay, proceed to the next step. If you're not, use 'n' and proceed with using the system.

  <Step title="Provide your license information">
    After launching the Standard System for the first time and selecting 'Y' to using the Public Relay, you'll be prompted to provide account information or download an installation key. The following information is required to connect to the Public Relay:

    * **License key** — your unique product license
    * **Username** — the username you registered with
    * **User ID** — your Standard account identifier
    * **Device Serial** — the serial number assigned to this device
    * **Device Chit Token** — the authentication token for this device

    Enter each value when prompted. Once activation succeeds, the installer will complete and Standard will be ready to launch from the Start Menu.

      A subscription is required to use the Public Relay.

      Download and installation key from your dashboard by clicking 'License' on a device.
